How To Return Home (Acceptance)
« on: July 17, 2017, 11:04:12 PM »
She had been running her entire life, it’s all she knew really. She had been avoiding things that were important to her, she had allowed herself to become lazy and stagnant, to allow herself to stay somewhere where she wasn’t happy.

It was for her family, though. Her father. Even if she hadn’t been active with their relationship, she cared about her Father. She wanted to be around him, have him be in her life. She looked to him and saw someone who had made mistakes, but was still good.

She feared the teeth and claws of the dragon, and what her lineage and blood did to her. The rage, the obsession. She had run from it, its breath hot on her heels. This wasn’t something that she could handle though, not by herself.  She had wandered in Saboro, bored, obsessed with her own loneliness, her own insecurities.

She had never done any of the good that she wanted too; she had failed because she was a coward, because she was obsessed with herself.

It is why she took the opportunity she had to leave. She had to deny the dragon in her own home. She had to rekindle the relationships she was so afraid of. Without seeing her mother after all—how would she know what she was becoming.

It had been so long that she could barely remember.

And so, she followed him home. She followed her father, avoiding the other places he went. She had business of course, something she needed to do. A mission. Oktober needed to regain herself, or she would fall into the grasp of something she was so afraid of.

And so, she approaches the bridge, staring into the fog. Feeling her heart thump in her chest. She walked into the lair, narrowing her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath before howling out. Would her family remember her?

“Mother” she would whisper, softly, there was almost hurt in her voice, “Father.” She exhales.

“I’m home.”

Leviathan found that the borders were a place of many new things. New people, interesting things. He walk carefully along them, though careful not to intrude too much on the business of those that worked on them. Sometimes, he would see someone be welcomed in. Other times were less exciting, and he would move back towards the inner packland again.

Today, he was close enough to a howl to actually come towards the call, ears perked up with interest and eyes wide as he tracked down the stranger. A stranger that felt familiar, though he knew he had never met her. She whispered for her parents, before declaring herself home. If she looked any different, Leviathan wouldn't have made the connection, but with how... Orange she was, he figured she was related to the other very orange lady he knew.

"Are we related?" was his greeting, moving closer to the tired looking wolf. "If you're home, are you home to Azuhel? To grandmother?" he titled his head, wondering why she seemed so tense and nervous to be home. Was something wrong? Was she nervous? Was she hurt? Leviathan felt a wave of a need to help, if only to coax some moer reactions and information out of her.

"Are you sick? Or alright? If you're from here, someone will come get you. And help you." he wanted to see if someone else could recognize her, perhaps tell him who she was to him. "My name is Leviathan." an introduction at the end, finally taking a step back to give her space. He looked her over, just to take in her appearance. She did look familiar, she looked like family, though he did not know her one bit. She was older, though, it wasn't too surprising she was a stranger to him.

Now black eyes would look back, waiting for someone who knew this stranger better than he did. Until someone showed up, Leviathan would stay with her, in case she really wasn't alright.
