because here they come.

Run fast for your mother and fast for your father,
Run for your children for your sisters and brothers,
Leave all your love and your loving behind you,
Can't carry it with you if you want to survive.

She waited in the shadows, she walked between the mottled roots of space trees waiting for the perfect moment to... what? Pounce on the nearest civilian, something else? It wouldn't exactly be her doing her job if that were the case, gathering information from the sides, sweeping snatched whispers into awaiting ears, storing it for later. Many more branches echoed off, yet the youngling felt that this, this was the most important of all aspects. Transferal to her Captian would be a close arrival, yet that was not as much fun as the excitement of snatching the words right from ones mouth. An invisible prize, worth much more then your average lump of gold.

Waves lapped up on the shore; sucking and spewing the thin liquid across worn paths set before them. The hypnotizing push/pull motion was lost after staring day after day with bored eyes. Juniper had linger by the vein of water for days after the her bonding with Zassa, waiting to see her once more. Perhaps it was no more then a chance meeting and the Officer resided in other ares of the pack lands.

Blood is thicker then water.

The timber turned and dove backwards, legs rippling beneath casually dripping coat, wet from the shore that she had waited on, brain numbing as she surrendered her sanity into the dappled lake. Her limbs slowed as the pungent smell of tar dotted the air. The pits that gurgled and smacked their lips, waiting for another victim to digest.

Watching in a disgusted satisfaction the way one might revolt at a car crash, bloodied and messy across the highway; the Tactician couldn't stop watching. Dropping to the ground with a crunch on the yellowed grass she landed in the dying landscape. Juniper could not turn her eyes away.
