He wasn't going to talk politic. A heathen would be coming and fighting him, why was beyond him, he could not defeat or destroy a God. He was not to be touched, he was not to be corrected or undone, and he was perfect. None could tell him that he was wrong and he would not stand it either, he would punish them then. His members were afraid for his wellbeing that much he knew, they were watching him perform his ritually fight. A significant fight of huge importance. He was to gain land, the last fight was standing prepared and it was time now, it was time to fight the last being and humiliate him, drive him to the dust. He would be shown that he would not stand for anyone challenging him and that he would drive them out like a demon from a pure body. But this body was just pure demon and Loath wouldn't let this pass by. Not by chance. He would prove, certainly would he prove that he was superior and divine to him. To everyone.

If he would come that was.

The clearing had been carefully examined before the other one had come. The ground was steady and hard, no one would slide in this ground. Very short grass covered the land but made it look bare anyway. No trees, no rocks. It was one island, one big one. It was surrounded by water, not deep but just enough to have to swim. The island was several feet broad and long so it would be entirely bare ground that they would be fighting on. With nowhere to escape to, and this pleased Loath. His pelt was still wet and small drops landed on the ground around him after his swim through the dark water to get there at the island and it was just perfect. The sky was clouded and no sun was coming through the tight clouded sky, it was grey and let no rays come through. It didn't look like rain was coming; no it would be hours before the rain came. The setting was completely neutral; no settings could be taken advantage of. Not today.

Everything was exactly as Loath wanted it. He licked his maw from water and lifted his ears. He faced the direction of massive land where he expected the other one to come from. He was waiting patiently for the other one and he was allowing himself to sit for a moment while waiting. He had always been patient and no difference this time. His eyes blinked slowly as there was no sun to dry his fur the dripping sound of water from his wet fur landing on the ground was the only one that was heard for a long while. It was like a circle around him and the ground was much darker around him than under him. Fascinating coloration, not that he had the concentration to watch that right now. He needed to focus on the sound of the water around him. At one point or another, a fighter would be swimming from the water and Loath would face him whenever he did.

And the sun will be all that burns on our way down

But right now we have to understand the problem
AND OVERCOME!

         Miko
It was silent. So silent.
Just enough to bother the male. His bright orange eyes peered from one end of the horizon to the other. Everything was so pristine, so simple. This land was so tamed, and yet there was a heartbeat to it. A heartbeat that gave away the wild spirit in which the world around him thrived. This place was not tamed, no matter how calm it may seem. He should've known better than to assume. Things were not always as they appear to be - he learned that from mother. He learned many things from her. And now here he was, standing at the foot of battle. Here, the once meek son was to stand proud as he fought for everything he believed in - everything mother had believed in. He had failed once before, letting fear overcome him and his capabilities during his battle with Darkrage. But he had trained since then - he was better. He would not fail this time. Too much was on the line right here, right on this cold soil that could be his by the end of the day. But he had to earn this right, this title, this land. And now was the time.

The silence continued, and the blackblood mutt only rested. His body lay beneath an oak tree that took root in the fertile soil. He could feel the breath of life seeping through its bark, saddened by the loss of its leaves and the oncoming winter. Miko rested up against it, as though the warmth from his own body could comfort and soothe the mighty plant. His pelt, thickened by his arctic bloodline, was combed through by the rough bark, and this sensation soothed the male. Oh, he needed to be calmed. The tension in the still air was building, and it seemed to weigh so heavy upon his shoulders. When would his opponent arrive? Was there even anyone to compete against in the claim for this land? The son had been here since it was first deserted, knowing that this prime land would be snatched up all too quickly. He'd figured that out once before. Sighing, Miko hoisted himself up, sitting tall as he scanned his surroundings. There appeared to be no one. Not a single creature within sight. Had he won so easily? Raising his brows in hesitated acceptance of the assumption that this land was now Lucern's, the wolf tred swiftly through the terrain, heading closer to the shore. May as well start marking the boundaries.

As he neared the shores of the marsh's river, a gleaming white figure caught his attention from the corner of his eye. A wolf. A male wolf. Sitting. Waiting. A grumble sounded silently in his throat, and Miko knew that it had been too good to be true. Rolling his eyes, he turned his course, now heading slowly up towards his challenger. His opponent. The fight would happen, and it was going to happen right now. That much was obvious at the moment. But how would it all go down? Who was this other wolf? How did he fight? Did he have honor?
Too many questions tumbled through Miko's mind as he approached the white male, slowing his pace down until he stood still. He wasn't much taller than the other - by no more than an inch, perhaps. He stared, analyzing him for no more than a few seconds. Silence.
"I presume you're here to claim this land...?" Nothing more to say. If it was so, then the fight would commence. If not, Miko'd be sure to escort him off Lucern's territory. The seconds ticked by as the suspense in the atmosphere raised, all waiting for the response.
"You know how all of this is just like the way,
Just like the way we can never get away.
Even though. . . I still love you.
Why do they all say it's wrong to love?
I will bind you and hide you
So no one touches you.
Is it alright to think that this is fate?
Is it gone? Oh it's gone
This one beloved world."

A fool was coming. Loath watched him come closer to the shore of the land where he stood and Loath eyed him. No skeptical looked was given to him, they were much the same height and same build. But not equal. Loath was a divine creature, he was a God, a masterpiece by powers this heathens never would be able to understand. He was the touch of angels and he was not their ruler. It had taken him years to understand that he was more than just to be pushed around, he was an emperor to the world, a magnificent one that no one could defeat, that no one could oppose, threat or harm. They could draw him blood but never defeat him. He was a mark of history and his divine powers should reach all heathens once they opened their minds. And this one would be no different. He didn't growl at him, he merely rose as the other one came to stand in front of him and Loath's burning orange eyes peeled them toward the other one. He wasn't skeptical that this one could fight. He just knew he couldn't win. No frown was cast, no teasing or bad mouthing. Loath had no time of that. Loath was almost about to attack when the other one opened his mouth. And Loath did nothing.

"I presume you're here to claim this land...?"" His time stopped and Loath weighted the question carefully. He predicted nothing, he foresaw nothing. A useless question? No. No he judged that the question was fair. And a fair question deserved an answer. "No." He lied. He lied in the open face of his opponent, no honor or dignity did he need at all. He was a God and he could do whatever he wanted. Lying to a heathen was absolutely no sin, nothing was wrong with it and Loath could only pity him if he believed him. But Loath did still not attack. He had declared himself harmless toward the heathen, so why would it attack? Out of rage? He hoped not. He just watched him for a while let the words settle to the other and younger person that "oh he wasn't who he thought to be" and no expression came across Loath. He was creepy, yes. But harmless for now toward Miko.

Not until Miko responded. Whatever he responded with, words or move Loath would respond to it by running up the distance between them and he wouldn't stop before he reached him. Here he would attempt to grab him around his neck and try to drag him toward the water. It didn't matter how hard he held him, but if he first got him he wouldn't let go. He would try to drag him forward and if he could get him to the water Loath would attempt to push Miko's head down under water to give him a feeling of drowning, and if that happened he would try hold him down there for a half minute or so. He wouldn't kill him though. If the assault succeeded in the first place he would try pulling him up, give him 2 seconds of air and attempt to push him down under water again. He wouldn't stop before Miko would yell some kind of surrender. Not by a chance.
